About the Artist

My practice explores relationships between experience and bodily reactions through a process of creating, fragmenting and transforming watercolour on paper. I challenge myself to go beyond the traditional boundaries of watercolour and incorporate unique methods into resolving a narrative through collaged sculptural forms. Each form exposes a positive and negative space.

I address issues relating to female experience and womanhood. Artists who inspire me are Louise Bourgeois, Cecily Brown and Celia Hempton, each unique in expressing similar issues within their practice.

In my latest body of work 'Don't Get it Twisted' and 'Gifted Euphoria' I have explored the female form and vessels with playful suggestions of the body’s response to a heightened physical or emotional state.
